1 year Filmmaking course

Filmmaking at our institute is designed as an immersive, process-driven experience rather than a classroom-based course. Students begin with scriptwriting, developing ideas into structured, shoot-ready narratives, which are then brought to life through cinematography using professional equipment and real studio setups. As the process progresses, they step into film direction, learning to work with actors and execute scenes, followed by film editing, where they shape their own footage into a complete narrative.

What sets this experience apart is the continuity between each stage-students move seamlessly from script to shoot to edit within the same environment. This ensures they graduate not just with knowledge, but with a practical understanding of how films are actually made.

COURSE STRUCTURE

1 Year Module (Weekend)

The filmmaking program is designed as a 1-year structured journey, covering every stage of the filmmaking process in continuity. Students begin with script development and move progressively into cinematography, direction, and editing-understanding how each department connects within a real production workflow. The focus remains on building a strong foundation while simultaneously preparing students to execute complete film projects.

Practice & Assignments (Weekdays)

Beyond the weekend sessions with faculty, students have the flexibility to return on weekdays to practice and complete assignments under the guidance of an in-house mentor. This extended access ensures that learning doesn’t stop in the classroom-allowing students to revisit concepts, experiment with setups, and steadily build confidence through consistent, hands-on practice in a real studio environment.

Masterclass (Advanced Camera & Lighting)

As part of the program, students gain exposure to advanced filmmaking techniques through a dedicated masterclass focused on high-end film cameras and lighting setups. This module introduces them to industry-grade equipment and workflows, bridging the gap between foundational learning and professional production standards. Students also get the opportunity to execute and take back their own shot outputs from the masterclass, giving them practical, portfolio-worthy results from this advanced learning experience.

+ 1 Month Portfolio Making

The course concludes with a 1-month intensive portfolio phase, where students execute their final film projects from script to shoot to edit. They gain access to 14+ pre-built film sets under one roof, including spaces like bungalows, villas, hospital, police station, office, café, and more, enabling diverse and professional shoots. Alongside production, students also work in high-end editing suites and a dedicated sound room, ensuring their films are completed with professional editing and sound-resulting in a polished, industry-ready portfolio.
